Nutcracker: Swing IT!

People have been cracking nuts since the earliest days of civilization. Today's most common nutcracker, the classic lever pliers type, has been with us for nearly 800 years.
Yet still cracking nuts can be a painful and exhausting experience - especially for those who have weaker hands or health limitations.

Why not make this easier and more fun? This design introduces an effortless method with a touch of playfulness.

The concept is based on inertia. The user swings the nutcracker in the air, and the cylinder inside cracks the nut using its inertia. This can be done once with a slight force or a few times by basically just rotating your hand.

A gentle motion slightly cracks the shell while keeping the core intact,
a stronger movement opens the nut completely.
